This Viognier from Madeleine Saint Jean is aged in stainless steel tanks. This preserves the typical Viognier character: stone fruit, soft acidity, and a full body. It's also perfect if you want a wine that sits between fresh and full-bodied, or oaked.
The cooler influences from the sea are noticeable; the fine acidity gives the wine a lot of freshness. Yet, the wine is fuller and richer than the well-known "table wine" Viognier. Those are also good, but this wine simply has more power.
For the right food pairing, we recommend seasoned dishes, but not too spicy. Asian cuisine, or grilled lobster or langoustines.
