DESCRIPTION

The Banq family's wine estate is located in the picturesque fishing port of Marseillan, about 50 kilometres from Montpellier. Wine has been made here for generations.
The vineyards have a chalk and limestone soil and benefit greatly from the sun and wind close to the sea. This also keeps the grapes healthy and minimises the use of pesticides.

Grenache and Syrah are planted, supplemented with, among others, Marselan. Marselan is a relatively young grape, created in the 1960s. This cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache Noir refers to the town of Marseillan. Its main characteristics are its purplish-black skin, ripe fruit tones, aromas of liquorice and spices, and its excellent ageing potential.
Domaine Madeleine was one of the first pioneers to plant this promising variety.

A delicious table wine, suitable as an aperitif. Also wonderful with grilled red meat, lamb stew or a juicy steak with chimichurri.
