Bodegas Domeco de Jarauta is a true family business in Rioja. Here, they work with old vineyards deeply rooted in calcareous clay soils, resulting in low yields but an incredible concentration of flavor. Most white Riojas are made from the Viura grape, but for 'La Pinturera', the family consciously chooses 100% Garnacha Blanca.
This grape is known for its aromatic expression and fuller body. After the harvest, this wine ages for about 4 months in American oak barrels. This gives the wine just that rich, creamy edge of vanilla and roasted almonds, without the fruit disappearing. In the glass, the scent of peach, green apple, and jasmine blossom bursts towards you. On the palate, it feels soft, elegant, and full, with lively acidity ensuring that every sip remains exciting. An ideal wine for lovers of energetic white wines.
Serve with rich fish dishes, roast chicken, roasted pork, or simply enjoy as an aperitif.
