DESCRIPTION

Although the Pfalz is mainly famous for white wine, with this 'Gutswein' Kranz shows that they are absolute masters of the demanding Spätburgunder grape.
The vines benefit enormously from the warmth in this southern part of Germany, but also maintain fantastic tension due to the limestone soils. To protect the delicate aromas of the grape, after careful manual harvesting, the wine undergoes gentle maturation in partly older oak barrels. This does not result in a heavy vanilla taste, but beautifully rounds off the wine. The aroma is expressive and slightly earthy. In the mouth, it feels supple and incredibly precise, supported by light tannins and a lively, elegant finish.
