Provence rosé Les Platanes 2025 Domaine de Gayolle

Winemaker Nicolas Paul, the 7th generation of the family, produces a slightly different blend of this cuvée each year. The result is consistently the same: a stunningly fine rosé that makes summer easy to get through.
This year's blend was 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 9% Grenache, and 9% Tibouren. The latter is a rather rare blue grape from Provence.

The vineyards are planted on clay and limestone soils, and the vines are, on average, 25 years old. The winery practices as much organic farming as possible, meaning no chemical pesticides are used.
Not only is this rosé a delightful thirst quencher, but the fine balance between fresh red fruit and pleasant acidity gives the wine a high drinkability. Feel free to pair it with a summer salad with avocado and shrimp, or simply with a barbecue.
